Basketball Australia is the establishment of basketball in Australia, responsible for the development & promotion of the sport.

Additionally to sanctionative Australia's ii agent leagues, a National Basketball League and the Women's National Basketball League, Basketball Australia also fields representative teams in FIBA and Olympic competition.

International Representative Teams
- a Boomers, Australia's senior men's team. A Baby boomer finished ninth at a 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

- a Opals, Australia's senior women's team. A Opals took a silver around Athens, finishing behind a United States Of America.

- a Crocodiles, Australia's junior (under-21) men's team. (Does'nt to exist as confused by having a NBL's Townsville Crocodiles.)

- a Gems, Australia's junior (under-21) women's team.

- a Gliders, Australia's senior men's wheelchair five.
